Family Carers Ireland (FCI) is _the _national charity supporting over

children or adults with physical or intellectual disabilities, frail
older people, those with palliative care needs or those living with
chronic illnesses or addiction. We provide a range of services and
supports for family carers nationally from our local support centres.

Family Carers Ireland is recruiting an _IT HELPDESK SUPPORT _to join
our dynamic and fast-paced IT & Facilities department. This role will
report to the IT & Facilities Manager.
The _IT HELPDESK SUPPORT _will be the first point of contact for
Family Carers Ireland employees seeking technical assistance over
email or phone. The role will be responsible for the following (which
is not an exhaustive list):
* Perform remote/onsite troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques
and relevant questions and determining the best solution based on the
issue and details provided by staff;
* Direct employees through the problem-solving process;
* Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
(internally or externally);
* Record events and problems and their resolution in a ticket log
system;
* Follow-up and update staff with information/status of an
outstanding issue;
* Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures;
* Record issues correctly, categorise and prioritise them;
* Install, upgrade, support, and resolve issues relating to PCs or
laptops, printers, scanners, phones, VoIP, Intranet, LAN, and WAN, and
software;
* Install and maintain security, anti-virus solutions and firewall,
configure and maintain operating systems and software applications,
backup devices, and suggest ideas for improving service desk functions
and service delivery regularly.
ROLE CRITERIA: The successful candidate should possess the following
ESSENTIAL criteria.
* BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science OR a minimum of two (2) years?
experience in networking, servers and telecoms;
* Possess working knowledge of office automation products,
databases, and remote control;
* Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other
technology products;
* Experience in PAT testing is advantageous but not essential;
* Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues;
* Experience in Windows server **Apply on the website**, AD, DHCP,
DNS;
* Experience in Windows Hyper-V;
* Experience in Office **Apply on the website** and Microsoft Azure;
* Strong Microsoft Operating System installation and troubleshooting
skills;
* Strong Break/Fix skills Desktops, Workstations, Notebooks,
Printers and Handhelds;
* Fluency in English, written and verbal;
* Full drivers licence with access to own vehicle.
TERMS & CONDITIONS: PERMANENT CONTRACT (**Apply on the website** hours
per week; Monday - Friday with flexibility for evening/weekend work if
necessary). The successful candidate will be based at Tullamore, Co
Offaly. The salary range for this role is ?**Apply on the
